Our Management Team
Dipalee read Geology at Southampton University graduating as a Master of Geology in 2002. It was here in 1998 she met co-director Francis Williams.
After graduation Dipalee held a geo-environmental engineer position at a Geotechnical and environmental consultancy for three years before being promoted to senior geo-environmental engineer. A post she held for two and half years.
In 2009 Dipalee set up Ground & Water with Francis. Based in London, Dipalee’s specialist field is geo-environmental but her main responsibility is managing and developing the business, including looking after finance and human resources. She is a member of the Geological Society of London, a member of the Society for Brownfield Risk Assessment and is also a member of the Institute for Environmental Sciences.
A working mother, in her spare time Dipalee enjoys home renovation, cooking, and skiing. She has also been known to do the occasional bungee jump!
Francis graduated from Southampton University in 2002 with a Master of Geology degree.
Having spent a year as a geoenvironmental technician at a regional environmental consultancy, he then spent six years as a geoenvironmental engineer and senior engineer, as well as holding the position of associate director.
Francis founded Ground & Water with Dipalee in 2009. Francis is responsible for the operational side of the business and is a contaminated land specialist. He is also a Chartered Geologist from the Geological Society of London.
Francis is a member of the Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists, the Society for Brownfield Risk Assessment and is also a member of the Institute for Environmental Sciences.
In his spare time, Francis runs a small vineyard and winery, is a Chartered Environmentalist and plays rugby.
